First Sergeant. Commissioned First Lieutenant on April 25, 1865. Mustered on May 20, 1865. Mustered out at Delaney House, D. C. on July 30, 1865. Was in battles of Port Royal, Coosaw River, Pocotaligo, Fort Pulaski, Wilmington Island, James Island, South Mountain, Antietam, Fredericksburg, siege of Vicksburg, Jackson, Miss., Blue Springs, Tenn., Spotsylvania, siege of Petersburg. Wounded six times.
