He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862.

Re-enlisted March 28, 1864, at Berry Hill, Va. Mustered March 28, 1864. Wounded in action at Meadow Run, June 1, 1864. Sergeant Jan. 1, 1865. Mustered out at Jeffersonville, Ind., July 5, 1865.
