Age 25 years. Enlisted November 28, 1861, at Elmira, to serve three years; mustered in as Private, Co. C, December 2, 1861.

In the Antietam Campaign:
He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862 at Antietam.

The remainder of the War:
He was again wounded in action at Fredericksburg, VA December 13, 1862. He died February 1, 1864 on David's Island, Long Island Sound, NY.
