He was captured in action on 17 September 1862 at Sharpsburg.

The rest of the War

Paroled Sept. 21st, 1862. Rolls from Dec. 1862 to Oct. 1864 show him "Present." He is on the roll of prisoners of war paroled at Appomattox Court House, VA on April 10th, 1865. Reported as "never wounded".
