He was captured at or near Sharpsburg on October 1, 1862. He was in the No. 5 General Hospital at Frederick, MD by October 13. Paroled and received at Aiken's Landing, Virginia for exchange October 19, 1862. Exchanged November 10, 1862. No later Company record.
