Before Sharpsburg

He enlisted in Company F, 3rd Arkansas Infantry at Rockport, Arkansas on June 20, 1861.

On the Campaign

He was wounded in the right thigh and captured in action on 17 September 1862 at Sharpsburg.

The rest of the War

He was exchanged in October 1862, and was furloughed to Arkansas to recover from wounds in January 1863. There is no further military record.

After the War

He was married on April 18, 1868 in Texas and had 9 children.
