He was a 35 year old farmer from Natchitoches when he enlisted in Company A, 9th Louisiana Infantry on July 7, 1861 at Camp Moore, LA. He was captured at Front Royal, VA on May 28, 1862. Exchanged at Aiken's Landing, VA on Aug. 5, 1862.
On the Campaign
He was killed in action on 17 September 1862.
