Basic information from Carruth1. A 23 year old resident of Newburyport, MA, he enrolled at Private, Company B, 35th Massachusetts Infantry, and mustered in August 1862. He was in action on South Mountain at Antietam, where he was wounded in the shoulder. He died of wounds on 18 September 1862.
