Basic information from Carruth1. A 38 year old resident of Newburyport, MA, he enrolled at Private, Company B, 35th Massachusetts Infantry, and mustered in August 1862. He was in action on South Mountain. He died 14 December 1862 (cause and place not given). He was buried at the Antietam National Cemetery, lot C, section 17, grave 148.
