On the Campaign

He was wounded in the right knee in action on 17 September 1862 at Sharpsburg.

The rest of the War

He lost his right leg from his Sharpsburg wound, and was discharged for disability on 13 March 1863 in Madison County, FL.

After the War

In 1870 he was a blacksmith, and was listed as a farmer in 1880. He applied for a Florida disability pension in 1902.
