He was an unmarried 18 year old printer from Huntsville, AL when he enlisted as Private on 26 April 1861 in Company F, 4th Alabama Infantry. Present with his Company in action in most engagements from First Manassas to Sharpsburg.
The rest of the War
He was in action at Gettysburg, PA in July 1863, then transferred and elected Lieutenant in the 50th Alabama Infantry in August 1863.
After the War
Living in Huntsville in 1907.
