He was an unmarried 26 year old farmer from Larkinsville, AL when he enlisted as Private on 27 April 1861 in Company K, 4th Alabama Infantry. He was in action from First through Second Manassas, VA.
On the Campaign
He was with his Company on South Mountain and at Sharpsburg.
The rest of the War
He was in action at Fredericksburg, Fort Huger, and Suffolk, but killed in action at Gettysburg, PA on 2 July 1863.
