Before Antietam

He enlisted in Company E, 3rd New Jersey Infantry on 28 May 1861.

On the Campaign

He was with his Company in Maryland but died of disease at a hospital in Hagerstown, MD on 10 November 1862.

After the War

He was initially buried in a plot near the Alms House in Hagerstown, but was reinterred at the new Antietam National Cemetery in 1866-67.
