Before Antietam
A 27 year old apothecary from Fall River, he was commissioned and mustered as 2nd Lieutenant, Company A, 7th Massachusetts Infantry on 15 June 1861. He was promoted to First Lieutenant of Company C on 26 June 1862.
On the Campaign
He was with his Company in Maryland.
The rest of the War
He resigned for reasons of health and was discharged as First Lieutenant on 6 December 1862.
After the War
He moved to Boise, ID in 1865 and was in the drug business there. By 1893 he was president of the Nye-Galbraith Drug Company.
