He enlisted in Navarro County, TX as a Private in Company I, 4th Texas Infantry on 17 July 1861.

On the Campaign

He was in action with his Company at Fox's Gap on South Mountain on 14 September and at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.

The rest of the War

He was slightly wounded in the thigh in the Wilderness, VA on 6 May 1864. He was furloughed from Howard's Grove Hospital in Richmond, VA for 40 days to Jackson, MS on 20 October 1864 with no later military record.

After the War

He moved to Oklahoma by 1908.
