A 23 year old farmer, he enlisted in Athens, TX as a Private in Company K, 4th Texas Infantry on 20 March 1862.

On the Campaign

He was not with his Company at Fox's Gap on South Mountain on 14 September but was in action with them at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.

The rest of the War

He died of smallpox in Howard's Grove Hospital in Richmond, VA on 2 February 1863.

He was probably half-brother of Milton Antle, also of Company K.
