Before Sharpsburg

An 18 year old farmer in the Barnwell District, known as Sullivan, he enlisted as Corporal, Company I, 22nd South Carolina Infantry on about 15 January 1862.

On the Campaign

He was wounded in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.

The rest of the War

He was surrendered with his Company at Appomattox Court House, VA on 9 April 1865.
