On the Campaign

He was wounded in action at Boteler's Ford near Shepherdstown, VA on 20 September 1862 and was promoted to 3rd Corporal that day.

The rest of the War

He was wounded again, in the left arm on 5 May 1864, probably in the Wilderness, VA, promoted to First Corporal in October 1864, and was captured in April 1865.
