Before Sharpsburg

A 28 year old druggist in Mobile, he enlisted as Private, Company A, 3rd Alabama Infantry on 23 April 1861. He was promoted to Corporal, date not given. He was wounded at Seven Pines, VA about 1 June 1862.

On the Campaign

He was wounded in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862, and half of his right foot was amputated.

After the War

He was living with his widowed mother and running a drug store in Mobile in 1880.
