On the Campaign

He was slightly wounded in action at Turner's Gap on South Mountain, MD on 14 September 1862.

The rest of the War

He was absent wounded and sick into February 1863, and in a hospital, sick again in September 1863 and January 1864. He was discharged by a medical board on 5 April 1864.
