He was paid at Gordonsville, VA on 23 September, was on wounded furlough to at least 8 November 1862, and was paid commutation for rations at Port Royal, VA on 28 February 1863. He was captured and paroled, dates and places not given and he died at the CS General Hospital in Hanover Junction, VA on 19 (or 9) May 1863.
