On the Campaign

He was wounded in action at Sharpsburg, MD on 17 September 1862.

The rest of the War

He was captured on Maryland Heights near Harpers Ferry, VA on 7 July 1864. He was a prisoner at Elmira, NY until transferred to James River, VA for exchange on 10 March 1865. He was surrendered at Tallahassee, FL on 10 May and paroled at Albany, GA on 14 May 1865.
