In the Antietam Campaign:
Wounded in action, slightly, hand, on 17 September 1862.

The remainder of the War:
Transferred to Company A on June 12, 1863. He re-enlisted as a veteran on December 21, 1863. He deserted on the expiration of veteran furlough, on January 29, 1864.
