"He was the youngest son of the Rev. and Mrs. T.B. Fox. He spoke for his class at the graduation exercises of Harvard University in 1860. He proceeded to study law with John A. Andrews and received his L.L.B. from Harvard Law School in 1862". He was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in Company C on 2 August 1862.

The rest of the War

Promoted to 1st Lieutenant, Company K on 25 December 1862, and Captain 6 June 1863, He was wounded in action at Gettysburg on 3 July 1863, and died at home about three weeks later.
