He was in Company C.

In the Antietam Campaign:
He was wounded in action at Fox's Gap on South Mountain on 14 September 1862.

The remainder of the War:
Admitted to Richmond hospital 10/23/1862 with arm wound. Wounded again in action at Chancellorsville, May 1863. Roll for February 28, 1865, last on file, shows him absent without leave since July 25, 1863. Pension records show he: "Remained until war closed."
