Before Antietam

He enlisted in Company B, 3rd Pennsylvania Reserve Infantry on 13 June 1861.

On the Campaign

He was admitted to a US Army hospital in Frederick, MD on 24 September 1862 with chronic rheumatism and died there on 20 October 1862.

After the War

He was originally buried in Frederick but was reinterred in the new Antietam National Cemetery in about 1867.
