He may have been wounded at Antietam on 17 September 1862.
The rest of the War
He was admitted to a US Army hospital in Frederick, MD on 18 October but died there of Typhoid Fever at 7 PM on 29 October 1862. He was reinterred from his original burial in Frederick to the National Cemetery in about 1867.
