Before Antietam

A 32 year old laborer in Warrensvile, he enlisted there on 11 January 1862 and mustered into service as Private, Company C, 107th Pennsylvania Infantry on 25 January 1862 in Harrisburg.

On the Campaign

He died of disease at the Smoketown Hospital near Sharpsburg on 19 October 1862.

After the War

He was reinterred from his original burial near the battlefield to the National Cemetery in about 1867.
