Originally buried "in Rev. J. J. Adams town lot, back of the M. E. Graveyard" in the town of Sharpsburg. Probably reinterred at Hagerstown in about 1874.

Burial information from Pruett1, who has him only as "Bishops" of the 2nd Florida. His full name and company are an educated guess: there are only two Bishops found in the rolls of the 2nd Florida, and the other, James E. of Company H, survived at least until 1905. John T. of Company L has no details beyond 1862.
