Before the Antietam Campaign:
21 July 1862 Captain Weeden resigned, and on the 25th Lieutenant Waterman was promoted to be Captain of the Battery.

The remainder of the War:
He mustered out, with most of the three-years men of the battery, 2 September 1864.
