Basic information from Commonwealth of Massachusetts1. Age 27, a weaver from Blackstone on enlistment in July 1861. He was missing at Ball's Bluff on 21 October 1861 and discharged for disability 25 March 1862. He re-enlisted and mustered with his Company on 23 July 1862. Discharged on disability 27 October 1862. He had later service in the Veteran Reserve Corps.
