On the Campaign

He was in command of his regiment at Harpers Ferry and at Sharpsburg as the senior officer present.

The rest of the War

He resigned his commission on 14 October 1862, probably on grounds of ill-health.

After the War

Post-War he was a teacher, Solicitor in the 6th District, and Superior Court Judge (1885-88).
