Age 35, a sawyer from Manchester on enlistment in June 1861. He was in Company K.

In the Antietam Campaign:
He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862.

The remainder of the War:
Also wounded at Fredericksburg, VA on 13 December 1862. Captured in action at Gettysburg, PA on 1 July 1863. Died of disease while a prisoner in Richmond, VA on 5 December 1863.
