Before Antietam

He was a 22 year old farmer from Woburn when he enlisted in July 1861 in Company G, 13th Massachusetts Infantry. He mustered in as Corporal on 16 July.

On the Campaign

He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862 at Antietam.

The rest of the War

He married in Harrisburg, PA in March 1863. He was killed in action at Gettysburg, PA on 1 July 1863.
