Promoted Corporal after Antietam. WIA at Fredericksburg, VA on 13 December 1862. Discharged 8 May 1863. Moved to Grass Lake, MI, enlisted there in February 1865 in Company C, 11th Michigan Infantry. Discharged 16 September 1865.

Still in Michigan as of 1890.
