Admitted to the Bar in 1865, firm of Tarbox & Sherwin, still practicing in Batavia, NY in 1890. Member NY State Assembly 1866-67. Collector of Internal Revenue 1868, 1872. Appointed Postmaster, Batavia, NY 21 January 1890.
