Before the Antietam Campaign: He was in Company B. In the Antietam Campaign: He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862 at Sharpsburg. The remainder of the War: He was wounded in the thigh and right arm at Bristoe Station, VA on 14 October 1863, and his right arm was amputated. He died of wounds in hospital in Richmond, VA on 9 November 1863.
