Promoted to Corporal sometime before August 1864. Hospitalized at Charlottesville, VA on 18 October 1863 with a gunshot wound (date and place of wound not recorded, but likely 14 October at Bristoe Station). Surrendered at Appomatox Court House, VA on 9 April 1865.
