On the Campaign

He was wounded in the stomach and captured in action on 17 September 1862 at Sharpsburg.

The rest of the War

He was paroled on 27 September 1862 and returned to his Company on 18 April 1863. He was on furlough from 12 May 1863 to 2 February 1864, with no further record.

After the War

He married Lucy Purefoy on 16 May 1865 in Orange County.
