In the Antietam Campaign:
He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862.

The remainder of the War:
He was wounded again in action at Gettysburg, PA in July 1863, and on 6 May 1864 (probably in the Wilderness, VA). Discharged for disability on 17 June 1865.
