(1844 - 1914)

Home State: Wisconsin

Branch of Service: Infantry

Before Antietam

From Turtle, he enlisted in Company G, 6th Wisconsin Infantry on 10 June 1861.

On the Campaign

He married in Swansea, Glamorganshire, Wales in 1865, and probably lived there until about 1870, when he returned to Wisconsin. The family has a postcard he sent in that year...

Dear Daughter Bell (Sarah Isabella) and Family. All well. My address is now 1245 E. 37th St., Los Angeles, Cal. I married the widow this morning. Am going to raise chickens and pigeons.
