The Napoleons remained with men of the battery at Harpers Ferry. The rifles, which had been obtained at Harpers Ferry, were at Sharpsburg, afternoon of September 17th.

  Brigade - Ewell's Division Artillery

On the Sharpsburg Campaign

The battery was only one section of two guns at Sharpsburg. They arrived on the field on the afternoon of September 17th from Harpers Ferry.
