In the Antietam Campaign:
This battery was not engaged at Sharpsburg. They were in reserve, stationed on the Virginia side of the Potomac guarding a ford 4 miles above Shepherdstown.

The remainder of the War:
The 1st (Huckstep's) and 2nd Fluvanna Batteries were consolidated in early October 1862 into one unit.
