US Army Medal of Honor, 1865
More about this award:    "One of the members of Company "H", Corporal [?] John Younger [sic], was awarded a medal of honor for bravery during this battle [of Cedar Mountain]. Through a mistake the Regiment's own batteries in the rear were subjecting it to fire. Younger was sent back to warn the batteries and though badly wounded he rushed between the guns and delivered the message."
