Finding a Unit

• General suggestion: we believe we have every known unit at the battle represented here. If you don't find what you're expecting, try using less restrictive search criteria and then navigate through the set of answers you get to find what you need.
  
  
• UNIT NAME: Enter part or all of the UNIT or COMMANDING OFFICER name in the boxes. Leave blank to look for all units. To find a Regiment, for example, you might just enter it's number in the UNIT NAME field - you don't need the whole unit name.
  
  
• Choose UNIT SIZE, UNIT TYPE, STATE, and/or COUNTRY to narrow your search - leave the selector at ALL to find all possibilities.
  Specific STATE will usually find only Regiments or smaller units, Brigades and larger are not usually identified with only one state.
  If you pick "US" from the STATE list will find U. S. Regular Army Units.
  
  
• When complete, press the SEARCH button. We'll then give you a list of units which meet all of the factors you specify. You can then choose among them to get details about one unit at a time. If your search finds only one unit, we'll show you its details directly.
