He enlisted in Company C, 3rd Arkansas Infantry at Monticello, Arkansas on June 10, 1861.
On the Campaign
He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862 at Sharpsburg.
The rest of the War
He was furloughed to Arkansas and listed as absent without leave on December 2, 1862. He was dropped from the rolls on August 31, 1864.
After the War
He took the Amnesty Oath in Drew County, AR between September 1865 and March 1866. He was in Texas by about 1867. He was a farmer and owned considerable farmland in Robertson County, near Calvert, TX. He was granted a US patent for a "collapsible crate" in 1907.
