Before Antietam
Age 28, he mustered as a Private in Company D, 129th Pennsylvania Infantry on 10 August 1862.
On the Campaign
He was admitted to a US Army hospital in Frederick, MD on 4 November 1862 with Rheumatism but died there on 17 November 1862.
After the War
He was originally buried in Frederick but was reinterred in the new Antietam National Cemetery in about 1867.
