Before Sharpsburg

The rest of the War
He was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and commander of the Battalion on 20 November 1862. He was wounded at Spotsylvania Court House, VA on 10 May 1864 and captured at Sailor's Creek, VA on 6 April 1865.
