Wounded in action December 13, 1862, at Fredericksburg, Va.; transferred to Co. B, June 12, 1863; wounded in action, July , 1863, at Gettysburg, Pa.; re-enlisted as a veteran, December 30, 1863; promoted sergeant, no date; sergeant-major, November 1, 1864; mustered in as first lieutenant, Co. A, January 2, 1865; mustered out with company, June 30, 1865, at Alexandria, Va. Commissioned first lieutenant, December 7, 1864, with rank from September 15, 1864, vice Joseph Hyland promoted.
