He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862.
The rest of the War
Appointed Acting Assistant Inspector General, Third Brigade, Second Division, Second Corps, from April 25, 1863, to October, 1863. Wounded in action at Bristow Station, Va., Oct. 14, 1863. Commissioned Lieutenant Colonel July 3, 1863. Mustered June 30, 1864. Commanding regiment July and August, 1864. Discharged on account of disability Oct. 12, 1864.
